A package of possible measures will be presented next week ahead of the informal EU summit to be held in Cyprus on April 23-24, von der Leyen said at a brief press conference in Brussels.
The measures must be targeted at particularly vulnerable groups and be rapid and temporary, the Commission president stresses.
At the same time, she urges EU member states to speed up the approval of temporary, flexible state aid rules and of the energy network package presented in December. In addition, she promised a special investment conference to gather private capital for energy investments.
