The foreign ministers of the EU countries held another digital meeting on the Iran conflict on Thursday, now also together with ministers from the countries in the surrounding area.
"Iran is trying to expand the war to as many countries as it can. We call for stability," said Foreign Minister Kallas ahead of the meeting.
As Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has already said, Kallas pointed out that Ukraine can help.
"We see that the same drones that strike Kyiv every day are now being used in the Middle East. Ukraine can help the countries there," Kallas said.
In a statement afterwards from the EU and the countries of the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council), they condemned Iran's actions and promised joint diplomatic efforts to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.
