Strange behavior by U.S. President Donald Trump has reportedly "shocked" one of his closest supporters in Europe, EU sources claim.

According to anonymous information provided to Politico Europe and to TT, Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico was reportedly shaken by Trump's "mental state" when the two met at Mar-a-Lago in Florida recently, before Trump's appearance at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

Trump's actions were reportedly described as "dangerous" by Fico in private side conversations with colleagues at the EU summit in Brussels last week, reports Politico.

However, the information is firmly denied by both Fico and the White House. "Absolutely fake news," said US spokeswoman Anne Kelly.

"Nobody heard anything, nobody saw anything, there are no witnesses," Fico himself wrote in a post on Facebook.
