The main reason for the increase is that the EU recently introduced a €90 billion support loan to Ukraine for 2026 and 2027.
In addition to the loan, Germany allocated €700 million, Denmark €600 million and the Netherlands €500 million to support Ukraine's military.
But in a broader perspective, support is still below the levels that prevailed before US President Donald Trump cut US support in February 2025.
Before February 2025, Ukraine's allies allocated an average of €3.46 billion a month in military aid to the country. Since then, the figure has dropped to €2.94 billion.
