Rutte received Kellogg on Monday for a meeting where the ambassadors of NATO countries also participated.

"Rutte emphasized the value of extensive ongoing consultations with the US government. The Secretary-General stressed the importance of a fair and lasting solution to the conflict (in Ukraine) to ensure a stable future for Ukraine", it is explained, among other things, on NATO's website.

"We have a lot to do and will cooperate closely to achieve an end to the war and lasting security for us all", Rutte himself writes on X.

Afterwards, the NATO chief went to Paris to participate in the crisis meeting invited by French President Emmanuel Macron. In Paris, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, and the President of the European Council, António Costa, are also participating. Both will then meet Kellogg in Brussels on Tuesday. Kellogg will also meet the EU's Defense Commissioner Andrius Kubilius.

Furthermore, the European Commission announces that the Commission will be present in Kyiv next week to mark the three-year anniversary of Russia's renewed attack on Ukraine.
