A Scandinavian dance project, DOKS, receives the equivalent of 19.2 million kronor from the EU.
The project aims to strengthen the labor market for dancers and other actors in the dance field, such as set designers, lighting designers and technicians. It should particularly facilitate for those who operate under uncertain employment conditions.
Rum för Dans, which is part of Region Halland, leads the project. A Danish and a Norwegian dance institution are also involved.
"It is an important step to improve the conditions for all who operate in the dance field, not just at national level but in our entire common region", says Rum för Dans project manager Annika Ostwald in a press release.
