Google's use of location services to track users between May 2018 and February 2020 violated the EU's General Data Protection Regulation.
"We have been waiting for this for such an incredibly long time. It is very good news," says Yasemin Bayramoglu, communications manager at Swedish Consumers, in a press release.
The Swedish Consumers Association, together with other consumer organizations in Europe, reported Google in 2018.
