On Saturday, parts of the transitional government were presented after the overthrow of former leader Bashar al-Assad. Among the ministers is Hind Kabawat, Minister for Labour Market and Social Affairs and the first woman in the new government.
Transitional President Ahmad al-Sharaa, who led the uprising against the al-Assad regime last autumn, has previously stated that elections could be held within four to five years.
The US is also welcoming the government.
