"Amazon's action against the Commission's decision to classify the Amazon Store as a 'very large online platform' is dismissed," the EU Court of Justice said in a press release on Wednesday morning.
It states point by point that the legislation is not considered wrong either in terms of freedom of enterprise, the principle of equal treatment, the right to property, etc.
According to the Court, it was not wrong for the EU legislator to state that very large online platforms “may pose systemic risks to society” and that special rules are therefore justified.
