Ursula von der Leyen has tasked a panel of experts with reporting back by July on what steps the EU should take to protect minors online, including a potential ban on social media.
"Without prejudging the panel’s conclusions, I believe we need to consider a delay on social media. Depending on the results, we could come up with a legislative proposal this summer," von der Leyen said at a summit in Copenhagen on AI and children.
