Monday's decision means that Sweden becomes the second country to be approved for all the EU support applied for from the fund created to get the economy going again after the pandemic, the Commission writes in a press release.

The final payment is 332.8 million euros - 3.7 billion kronor - and goes, among other things, to the so-called Industrial Step. Once formal approval has also been given by the EU Council of Ministers, Sweden will have received just over 38 billion kronor from the corona fund, the RRF.

The giant fund was jointly borrowed by EU countries after the pandemic and is now entering its final phase. The final applications must be submitted by the end of September.
