The EU Commission is providing over half a billion kronor (50 million euro) in humanitarian aid to Gaza and the West Bank.
"We are increasing our support to our partners to help address acute needs and alleviate the suffering of Palestinians. But no aid can reach those who need it without safe and unhindered access for aid workers", writes Commissioner for Aid Hadja Lahbib in a press release.
Additional funds are also being provided to north-eastern Syria (20 million euro) and Lebanon (13 million).
