"The recent ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon represents a chance to avoid a return to full-scale hostilities," writes EU foreign affairs chief Kaja Kallas on X.
"The best way to reduce the threat from Hezbollah is to strengthen the Lebanese state and its institutions, as well as to re-establish its monopoly on violence," Kallas adds.
This support is the fourth package of its kind from the EU in recent years.
