EU and Australia agree on trade deal

The agreement was signed in Canberra by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese.

According to the EU, the agreement could increase the Union's exports to Australia by more than 30 percent, and exporters could save around one billion euros, equivalent to just over ten billion kronor, per year.

Australia and the EU have also agreed to increase defense cooperation.
