Just over 1.2 billion Swedish kronor - 115 million euros - is being allocated to support at least 20 different projects from 2027. The goal of the program, named Agile, is to deliver finished products to the armed forces within one to three years.
"We want to create a culture of working quickly and ensure that Europe's small businesses and start-ups can develop European deterrence and security with innovative solutions," said EU Commissioner Henna Virkkunen in a press release.
The hope is that EU member states and the European Parliament can approve the proposal already this year.
