Martin "E-type" Eriksson was one of at least 4,300 Swedes stranded in the United Arab Emirates after war broke out in the Middle East and airspace was largely closed this weekend.
The artist was in Dubai to record new music and had to spend time in shelters when missiles and drones were launched by Iran toward the city. But now he is home.
E-type says he was offered tickets by his airline to Mexico with a stopover in Barcelona, which meant he could fly to Sweden from there. But it felt strange to have managed to get out of Dubai.
I asked if we could give our tickets to a family with children, but they were in our name, so it wasn't possible, he tells Expressen.
