The hygiene and health concern Essity, manufacturer of diapers and toilet paper, reports a sharply reduced profit for the second quarter of the year. The profit of 4.6 billion kronor (measured in ebita) can be compared to 5.2 billion during the same period the previous year.
The revenue that landed at 34.2 billion kronor was at the same time slightly worse than expected. Here, the expectations were at 35 billion euro.
”The quarter was characterized by a weak economy and uncertain surroundings, which resulted in a limited volume growth”, the company writes in the interim report.
