Essity buys Kenvue’s Brazil feminine hygiene business for SEK 2.7 billion

"The acquisition strengthens Essity's position as a market leader in feminine care in Latin America," the Swedish hygiene and health company writes in a press release.

The purchase includes ownership of brands for sanitary napkins, panty liners and tampons, as well as production equipment in Brazil.

During the 12 months ended June 30 this year, the business in question had net sales equivalent to approximately SEK 1.4 billion and good profitability, according to Essity.

The purchase is expected to be completed during the second quarter of next year, following regulatory approvals.
