Esme Morgan was substituted in during extra time and got to experience the joy of victory. Despite the thoughts at the end of the first half, at 0-2 down, she says:

I still had the feeling that it was not our turn to go home.

Esme Morgan replaced team captain Leah Williamson who had to leave due to injury during extra time. Despite leaving the Letzigrund stadium on crutches, the mood was positive on Saturday.

We are very optimistic that Leah will be available. She was in a very good mood this morning, says Esme Morgan according to AP.

Morgan, who normally plays for Washington Spirit, says she wants to see Williamson ready to play even if it reduces her own chances of playing.

I want the best for the team and that is absolutely having our captain on the pitch, says Morgan.

England's semifinal against Italy will be played on Tuesday evening.
