The return comes in "Christmas with Ernst", which premieres on November 29 on TV4.
Last year, Ernst Kirchsteiger, 68, decided to retire after 25 years in television, 17 of them at TV4 - because he was tired of having to start thinking about mulled wine snacks in August, as he put it.
What happens if you remove that part and open yourself up to something new that might come in? It might be that television comes again, that world might come knocking, he said in TV4's "New Year's Caramel" in January.
And now he's back.
"There's something wonderful about stepping into the Advent season together with the viewers again, to land in a nice and atmospheric Christmas," says Ernst Kirchsteiger.
