Bosnia-Herzegovina won the penalty shootout against Italy and is thus one of the national teams that will be allowed to play in the World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico this summer.
The result also made supporters in Germany rejoice.
Stuttgart's Ermedin Demirović had promised beer to 60,000 fans if he and his national team advanced from the playoff match against Italy.
Now he has to pull out his wallet. According to media estimates, the 28-year-old is expected to pay just over 3 million kronor - if everyone in the arena is to get a beer.
"I am a man of my word," he says.
"It's something I do with love after an achievement like this."
