Erik ten Hag did not have a long life as a coach in Bayer Leverkusen. The 55-year-old Dutchman gets fired – after just two rounds in Bundesliga football.
"This was not an easy decision for us. Nobody wanted to take this step. But the last few weeks have shown that it is not possible to build a new and successful team with this setup", says Leverkusen's club director Simon Rolfes.
Erik ten Hag was fired from Manchester United last season, after a long period of weak results.
Prior to this season, he signed a two-year contract with Bayer Leverkusen. The club, which won the Bundesliga the season before last, only took one point in two matches under ten Hag.
