Last year, Ericsson was criticized for removing phrases about "diversity" and "inclusion" from its annual report.
The company denied any connection to U.S. President Donald Trump's crackdown on so-called DEI guidelines for diversity, equality and inclusion.
In its 2025 annual report, Ericsson, among other things, removed targets to increase the proportion of women in the company.
Press manager Ralf Bagner wrote to Di that there have been global changes regarding ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance):
“Like all companies, we have had to carefully balance regulatory risks and business priorities. In light of this, we have decided to remove the target for the proportion of women as part of our sustainability goals in the annual report.”
