The relocation of employees will begin in early 2028 and continue for several years, the company says in a press release.

Ericsson's current operations in Kista include research and development. Several staff functions are also located there.

"We have carefully evaluated which type of office and location will best meet the future needs of the company and our employees in the Stockholm area," CEO Börje Ekholm says in a statement.

Ericsson has previously signed agreements with real estate companies in Hagastaden, on the border with Solna in the northern part of Stockholm. Now, additional agreements have been signed with other real estate companies.
