According to the document, the settlement applies to people who have stated that they were "subjected to sexual abuse, exploitation, or human trafficking by Jeffrey Epstein between January 1, 1995, and August 10, 2019."

The end date is the day the financier was found dead in his prison cell.

The estate's agreement with a group of victims must now be approved by a federal judge in New York to become valid.

The estate will pay $35 million, equivalent to around 317 million Swedish kronor, if there are 40 or more people in the group. If there are fewer than 40, the sum is $25 million.
