Eon is reducing staff by 200 people in Sweden. The measure is being taken after a strategic review within the German energy company. The company is also planning to divest or sell several Swedish operations as part of a reorganization, reports the newspaper Dagens industri.

The planned staff reduction corresponds to 6 percent of the total 3,500 employees that Eon has in Sweden.

The reorganization of the Swedish operations is expected to be completed in February.
