The Greek national team player George Baldock was found dead in an outdoor pool on Wednesday, according to the Greek state news agency ANA.
The English-born right-back died at his home in Glyfada, a suburb of southern Athens, according to ANA.
Baldock joined the Greek team Panathinaikos in May, after seven years at Sheffield United, who were relegated from the English Premier League last season.
He has Greek origins through his father and joined the Greek national team in 2022.
No information has been released about the cause of death. George Baldock was 31 years old.
