For the European Championship in Germany, England's national team captain Gareth Southgate only selected one left-back – Luke Shaw.
The Manchester United player arrived at the championship with an injury in his rear thigh and has not been available for play. There have been previous reports that Shaw may miss the entire European Championship due to the injury.
But now comes an English piece of good news – Shaw participated in Saturday's training and may be part of the squad for the round of 16 match against Slovakia.
Playing from the start is uncertain, but a substitute appearance is possible, writes British Sky Sports.
Right-back Kieran Trippier has had to fill in on the left-back position in Shaw's absence, but missed Friday's training with a calf injury and is uncertain for the match against Slovakia.
England–Slovakia is played on Sunday at 18.00.
