For several years, an employee at Danderyd Hospital stole patients' jewelry and other valuables.

She is now being charged with aggravated theft, the Prosecution Authority says in a press release.

The thefts were committed between 2020 and 2025, and the total value of the stolen goods exceeded one million kronor. The woman is also charged with aggravated commercial fraud, one count of aggravated fraud and one count of theft.

The thefts were discovered when patients reported losing valuables at the hospital.
