The sprint specialist reportedly woke up with "stomach-related problems," the national team said. No replacement has been called up.

This weekend's World Cup competitions in Lake Placid are the last of the season. In Friday's 10-kilometer freestyle, Ribom finished in 15th place. The national team has not stated whether Ribom is available for Sunday's 20-kilometer mass start.

Sweden will field Maja Dahlqvist, Johanna Hagström, Moa Ilar, Linn Svahn and Jonna Sundling on the women's side.

The sprint qualifying starts at 3:30 p.m.
