The travel company Tui has managed to fly 20 Swedish travelers home in recent days, Aftonbladet writes.

"Some flights have left Dubai for Europe, but there are a limited number and many travelers want to get on them. We are doing what we can to book our travelers," Dian Valencia, from the company's press department, told the newspaper.

The company still has around 40 travelers in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar.

Some Swedes flew home

Apollo also managed to book four of its Swedish travelers home on Thursday.

"This morning, four Swedes flew home from Dubai. They flew home via Amsterdam and then to Stockholm," said Martina Krantz, press officer at Apollo, to TT.

The same group also includes the golf tour operator Golf Plaisir, and on Tuesday, 14 of their travelers made their way home from Dubai via another European city.

According to Krantz, 135-140 of their travelers are still in the United Arab Emirates, the majority in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Ving has 46 travelers in Dubai and eight in Doha. So far, the company has not managed to get anyone home, but they are working to secure seats on the flights offered primarily by the airlines Emirates and Qatar Airways.

Flights to Copenhagen

The continued closure of Qatar's airspace means that the country's airlines are choosing alternative solutions. A number of flights, including to Copenhagen, are instead departing from Oman and Saudi Arabia.

Starting on Thursday, planes are scheduled to take off from Oman's capital Muscat to Copenhagen, among other places, Qatar Airways wrote on X.

The company also mentions similar trips to London, Berlin and Madrid, among others, while a departure from Riyadh is planned to go to Frankfurt. The company said these are “a limited number” of departures and that travelers should not go to the airports unless they have confirmed tickets.

Norwegian also announced that all flights to the United Arab Emirates are canceled until March 9 and that it is making "ongoing adjustments depending on developments."
