A wristwatch that belonged to Elvis Presley has been sold for the equivalent of just over one million kronor at a memorabilia auction in the USA, writes LA Times.

The Omega watch with a brown leather strap was originally a gift to Elvis from Johnny Cash on Elvis' 34th birthday. The back of the dial bears the inscription ”To E from J Jan 8, 1969”.

Additionally, a custom-made suit that John Lennon wore in 1963, when the Beatles had just broken through, was sold. This also brought in a nearly equally high price, just under one million kronor.
