Barely 1.5 years after Musk left the controversial Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) efficiency program, he now looks set to make a return to government service, The Guardian reports.
According to a press release from the Department of Defense, the project will “identify the capabilities required to achieve absolute technological dominance on the next-generation battlefield,” the newspaper said.
In addition to Elon Musk, former Speaker Newt Gingrich will be included in the project, which has been named "Meridian".
The project will last for 120 days.
