Donald Trump's former so-called "efficiency chief" has long been surrounded by drug rumors. Among other things, The New York Times has described his abuse in detail. According to the newspaper's source information, he should have been almost constantly affected by, among other things, ketamine, ecstasy, psychedelics, and ADHD medication during Trump's election campaign.

"He told people that he took so much ketamine, a powerful anesthetic, that it affected his bladder," the newspaper wrote.

Now Musk shares an image of a negative drug test on the platform X, which he owns, along with the word "lol".

The drug test bears Musk's name, but whether it is actually his - or even an authentic document - is unclear.

Musk has previously admitted to "limited" use of ketamine as treatment for depression, but has dismissed all rumors of extensive drug abuse.

Tesla and Space X owner Musk, also the world's richest man, announced in May that he is leaving politics. Until then, he led the White House initiative Doge, which had the task of making drastic cuts in the US treasury.

The time since then has been marked by a heated exchange of words between Musk and Trump, mainly based on Musk's extensive criticism of Trump's budget proposal. Among other things, Musk has accused the president of being involved in the investigation into the sex trade scandal surrounding Jeffrey Epstein.
