In a post on X, Musk writes: "To be clear, I don't take drugs! New York Times is lying like crazy."
However, he states that he tested "prescription" ketamine a few years ago, but he has already told about it.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced on Wednesday that he is leaving politics, after being one of Donald Trump's most important allies on the way to the presidency. Musk donated nearly three billion kronor to the campaign and attended several major political meetings during 2024.
According to sources close to Musk, told to New York Times, it was during the same period that the tech billionaire consumed so much ketamine that it started to affect his bladder – a side effect of chronic abuse. Ketamine is an anesthetic for horses also used to treat depression. X owner Musk is also reported to have taken the drug ecstasy, psychedelic mushrooms, and the ADHD medication Adderall, which contains amphetamine.
