The child is expected to be born in March next year and for the 32-year-old Rubensson, adapted training is now awaiting.
"We felt it was time for a sibling and are of course incredibly happy", she says in a statement on Häckens website and continues:
"It's nice that everything has gone well so far and that I can tell. Then you're of course humble considering there's a bit left".
Rubensson won the Diamantbollen, Sydsvenskan and the Swedish Football Association's prize for the best player of the year, for the 2023 season. She has made 89 international matches.
Previously, Rubensson has a son, Frans, four years old, together with her husband Filip.
