At a disadvantage in terms of world ranking. But on the court, Elias Ymer was dominant against the Briton Jacob Fearnley and advanced to the quarterfinals in the Nordic Open. Everything went my way and then it's easy to play tennis, he says after 6–2, 6–2.

24-year-old Jacob Fearnley, 81st in the ATP world ranking, was a clear favorite when he faced Elias Ymer on the center court in the Royal Tennis Hall.

But the Swedish hope, who received a wildcard to the tournament and is ranked 243rd, showed that tennis is about so much more.

He won the first three games of the eighth final, continued in the same style and eventually took home the set with 6-2.

I saw that he had problems returning my serve, and I have always said that if I serve in the "Royal" - then I am hard to beat, says Ymer to SVT.

The blue and yellow dream start was followed by a shorter break, when Fearnley needed medical attention. The Brit had previously pointed to his eyes and was treated with eye drops and pills.

He managed to raise his game a bit - but still couldn't handle Ymer.

I was a bit nervous at the beginning of the second set, when he had two break balls but I think everything went my way and then it's easy to play tennis, says the Swede.

Ymer played safely, had an answer to most things and secured advancement when he also won the second set with 6–2.

In the quarterfinals, Canadian Denis Shapovalova awaits, who earlier in the tournament knocked out Swedish Leo Borg.

I know him well, we are good friends and it will be a tough match, says Elias Ymer.
