Swedish forward Elias Lindholm scored twice in Tuesday night's NHL game against the New York Rangers. Even so, it wasn't enough for Boston, who lost in overtime.

Lindholm helped tie the game on several occasions. He scored the 1–1 goal twelve minutes into the first period. In the second period, he scored the 2–2 goal for Boston.

The Rangers were the stronger side in the game, which went into overtime with the score tied 3–3 after 60 minutes. Rangers' Matthew Robertson put the decisive puck in the net.

Swede Mika Zibanejad scored Rangers' 2–1 goal in the first period.

Both Elias Lindholm and Mika Zibanejad have been selected for Sweden's Olympic squad.
