The eleven were convicted last fall of crimes including murder, kidnapping, fraud and illegal gambling.
In China, they are described as key figures in a mafia-like operation run by a single family in a village on the border with Myanmar that lured people from other countries with false promises of legitimate jobs.
Those convicted were arrested and extradited to China after resistance militias in the ongoing civil war in Myanmar took control of the village.
China executes more people each year than any other country, but it does not publish the total number of executions.
