The most experienced NHL reinforcements usually come directly to the World Championship tournaments and skip the training matches.

Before the home World Championship in Stockholm, an established star like Mika Zibanejad, NY Rangers, is already going to the Betano Hockey Games (formerly Czech Hockey Games) in Switzerland and the Czech Republic on May 1-4.

Also, goalkeeper Samuel Ersson, Philadelphia, defenseman Rasmus Andersson, Calgary, and super talent Leo Carlsson, Anaheim, who, along with Zibanejad, were also part of the star-studded Four Nations in February, are part of the rehearsal squad.

Tre Kronor has officially announced twelve NHL reinforcements for the World Championship. But also Filip Forsberg, Nashville, has said yes, he confirmed to Viaplay some time ago.

Tre Kronor has had a tough season and has only won three out of 16 national team matches.

In recent weeks, the national team has lost three out of four matches against Finland and has been shut out three times.

"Much work remains before the World Championship premiere on May 9 in Stockholm. Now we look forward to a week in Switzerland and the Czech Republic with matches against high-class opponents, where we have the opportunity to fine-tune our game and come together as a group", says Sam Hallam in a press release.

Sweden meets Switzerland in Kloten on May 1 and then the Czech Republic on May 3 and Finland the day after in Brno.

Goalkeepers: Samuel Ersson, Philadelphia, Arvid Söderblom, Chicago, Arvid Holm, Rögle.

Defensemen: Rasmus Andersson, Calgary, Tom Willander, Boston University, Adam Larsson, Seattle, Gabriel Carlsson, Zug, Marcus Pettersson, Vancouver, Tim Heed, Ambri-Piotta, Andreas Borgman, Fribourg-Gottéron, Simon Edvinsson, Detroit.
