Three chilled and injured girls turned up in Mellerud in April and told that they had been locked up for a longer period. Now, three people have been arrested for unlawful detention of children, writes Aftonbladet.
The suspects concern a total of eleven children, whom the police suspect have been kept away from the authorities for several months.
There is nothing to suggest any physical detention, but rather that they may not have been able to move freely in society, says prosecutor Oscar Johansson to the newspaper.
The girls reported that they had been subjected to violence but finally managed to escape. Documents that Aftonbladet has taken part of show that the case is also linked to a case of aggravated assault.
All the suspects deny the crime.
