A total of nine people were killed when 12 gunmen opened fire in a bar in a town outside Johannesburg. The perpetrators, armed with pistols and automatic weapons, shot randomly at the bar patrons, according to police.
Three of the victims were killed inside the bar and another six were killed as they fled the scene.
Police suspect the incident is linked to mining conflicts.
