The machines are used in the area where SSAB is building a new steel mill, according to the radio.

"We have elevated levels of nitrogen dioxide and sulfur dioxide in the cabins themselves," Lotta Jakobsson, head of SSAB's conversion project, told the radio.

A machine is operating in the area and is described as part of the sampling. Employees are wearing protective masks and gas detectors are in place.

Last week, it emerged that a number of employees in the SSAB area sought medical attention after experiencing nausea and headaches. It has not been determined what caused the symptoms, despite several previous tests having been performed.
