A powerful fire broke out in an apartment in Hallonbergen northwest of Stockholm during the night towards Friday, and a 35-year-old man has been taken to hospital with burn injuries, reports SVT Stockholm.
A lithium battery in an electric bicycle has started burning, says Niklas Berglund, duty officer at the police to SVT.
The injured man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
He is burned. I don't know how severe the burns are, but they should not be life-threatening, says Niklas Berglund.
By 4 am, the fire was extinguished by the rescue service. The police have initiated a preliminary investigation into gross negligence.
