Corren has tested the system and has been able to access protected personal data that is disclosed when authorities transfer personal data between each other ahead of the election, according to a review published in August.

The Electoral Authority will submit a request to the government for a change in the law, Corren reports on Tuesday.

We will point this out to the government after the election, says Anna Nyqvist, the Election Authority's chief of staff, to the newspaper.

The problem of protected personal data being disclosed in connection with elections has been known for some time and has been raised with previous governments by responsible authorities.
