An older woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a fire in a larger holiday home in Töre in Kalix municipality on Wednesday, local media reports.
She managed to get out of the cottage on her own and she is now being cared for at the hospital, says incident commander Oskar Lind, to SVT News Norrbotten.
The rescue service was on site shortly after 10 am and then the house was already engulfed in flames. The fire then spread quickly to two adjacent cottages. The larger cottage and one of the smaller ones are said to have burned down.
During Wednesday afternoon, the rescue service is on site to monitor the fire scene, because it is dry in the ground, writes NSD.
