An elderly woman died on Thursday afternoon in a house fire in Karlstad, reports P4 Värmland.
The fire was reportedly confined to the downstairs. According to police, people at the scene were able to get the woman out of the house, but her life could not be saved.
The police have launched a preliminary investigation into suspected arson to determine the cause of the fire.
