A woman in her 80s has died from her injuries after a fire in an apartment in Kungälv, the police write on their website.
Police and rescue services were alerted to the apartment just after 7 o'clock and when they arrived it was smoke-filled. The woman was found in the apartment and was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The apartment will undergo a technical examination. The police are investigating suspected gross negligence.
