Elderly Woman Airlifted After Clothes Catch Fire at Swedish Hospital

The police and rescue services were alerted on Saturday to Strömstad hospital after receiving an alarm that an elderly woman's clothes had started burning, the police write on their website.

The woman, who was hospitalized, was transported by ambulance helicopter to another hospital.

The elderly woman is now being treated for life-threatening injuries, according to Sahlgrenska's press service, writes SVT News West.

The incident is being investigated as bodily harm. No one is suspected in the case.
