The suspect was arrested on Monday at a residence in Stockholm, the police said on their website.
The thefts, which were discovered this spring, have, according to the prosecutor, taken place at Danderyd Hospital, among other places.
"Currently, an extensive investigation is underway to identify those who have been victims of theft, while we are questioning the suspect and witnesses," says Public Prosecutor Emma Kyhlstedt in a press release.
According to the police, several of the victims were seriously ill when the robberies occurred.
"We have deployed a combined resource to interrupt ongoing crime and curb future thefts against particularly vulnerable victims. We do not rule out that more arrests will be made," says Carolin Forssell, investigation leader for serious crimes in Stockholm North, according to the police website.
