The suspect was arrested on Monday at a residence in Stockholm, the police said on their website. The person has a connection to the hospital that has been affected by several of the thefts that are part of the investigation.
According to the police, several of the victims were seriously ill when the robberies occurred.
"We have deployed a combined resource to interrupt ongoing crime and curb future thefts against particularly vulnerable victims. We do not rule out that more arrests will be made," says Carolin Forssell, investigation leader for serious crimes in Stockholm North, according to the police website.
